Neurofeedback is a powerful technology that can improve the functioning of your brain and is especially effective in addressing areas such as chronic migraines, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and more. At Supporting Wellness, we utilize NeurOptimal neurofeedback technology that works by harnessing the natural power of your own brain. Recognizing problems is the first step to correcting them; so, if your mind is going to fix itself, it needs to learn to identify the issues. Neurofeedback is like holding a mirror up that monitors your brain’s function for any changes in electrical activity and then provides feedback to your central nervous system. Neurofeedback encourages your brain to naturally self-correct. Training your mind using neurofeedback can result in greater mental capacity and improved flexibility.

Each living being is not just a physical form but also a being of energy. Energy encompasses each of our aspects; physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and soul: Woven together with our ancestry, experiences, stories, personality, and character.
Energy is a spectrum from underactive to overactive. As Spinal Energetics practitioners, we intend to support our clients in meeting the middle path of homeostasis; balance, as we believe that wellbeing is each person’s birthright.
Through light yet powerful touch (and often no touch), an organic flow of movement and sound begins and progresses to shift, unwind, discover and release tension, resistance, and stories that may have been stored in the body. The movements and sounds are natural and primordial, they are a response to the treatment and are driven by an individual's energy, intuition and instinct.
Spinal Energetics is not something we ‘do’ to a client, it is a practice of collaboration to cultivate and support deep self-awareness in our clients to help them soften and-or strengthen patterns of resistance and-or submission that may be preventing wellbeing from flowing to them.

I believe in a person-centred, nonjudgmental approach to counselling, where no client struggle is seen as insignificant. I am compassionate and empathetic, and strive to ensure a safe space for clients to work through their concerns. I also understand the importance of honouring individual differences and celebrating people’s stories, while being considerate of the varied cultural and social contexts within which they exist.

I provide clients with the necessary technical tools to address issues and help achieve their goals. I know that each individual comes with their unique experiences and, as such, different people will require different things from therapy. Accordingly, I believe in having open and honest communication about my clients’ needs and work hard to foster a strong therapeutic relationship.

I provide counselling to both youth and adults experiencing a plethora of concerns, including those related to relationship troubles, self esteem, anxiety, self-care and life transitions, among others. I believe in an evidence-based approach to counselling that is largely tied to the client’s needs. To ensure that I am the right fit for my clients’ needs, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation in order to help us get to know each other before a session.

Therapy & Assessment

Whether you want to clarify and figure out what’s happening for you or your family member, transform the core of what troubled you continually, a space to process what’s happened, supports to help you cope or adjust, to know yourself better, or to learn to thrive – I would love to support you. For the last eight years, I have worked in hospital, community, agency, school, and private settings in different cultural contexts, providing therapy and assessment for mild to chronic, complex diagnoses and concerns. Kids, Teens, Adults, Families, Groups, etc.

Assessment can help you clarify, understand, and find the right support for what is troubling you. Whether that’s educational, ADHD, psychological, social, cognitive, or emotional.

Therapy can support you through your struggle to find relief and well-being. Grief/Loss, Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Parenting/Family, Child, Relationship issues, Personality concerns, and adjustment are some of the ailments I work with. Assessment can identify things such as learning disorders, ADHD, traumatic disorders and others.

I specialise in working with you to discover and transform the deep, unresolved matters that have created trouble for you over a long period, through a humanistic, phenomenological, creative process of self-discovery. Assessment follows a more scientific approach additionally.

I am a deeply supportive, empathic, compassionate listener who understands that sometimes growth requires being challenged too. I believe in well-being because of shared humanity. I also believe in simple-solutions first, and will present them candidly. That said, I do not profess to have all the answers, but I do believe we can discover the way, together. It is an honour to accompany clients into the core of their woundedness. As we journey to find missing parts, grieve what is lost, mend what is broken, and find simple and clean ways of weaving a vibrant, joyous, and whole self.

My name is Samuel! I am a therapist and previous medical doctor who is passionate about the messy and beautiful parts of being human. I believe that we live in a world that constantly (and often effectively) tries to tell us who and what we should be, which often leads us to trying to fit in. This can create a considerable amount of conflict, and possibly trauma, inside of us that not only leads to mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression but can also take us further from the belonging and connection that we desperately crave. As your therapist, I hope to provide a safe non-judgmental space for you to think and feel your way through the messiness of your humanity. I look forward to our journey together!
